Socio-Political Stances

a non exhaustive list

some overarching themes/concepts
- general leftism, not really of one singular school of thought
- identity and identity theories while acknowledging the pitfalls of idpol
- solidarity, advocacy, and love as guiding as principles
- decolonization; prison abolition; transformative, restorative, and community justice; LGBTQ+ liberation; Black power and liberation; feminism; environmentalism, conservation, and sustainability
when i engage with people about a socio-political matter, i'm generally well-intentioned and attempting to be intellectually honest. so if you're doing the same, then maybe we can talk if there's a point where something doesn't mesh 🤝

lol you're how old and have an about page? and in that format?

obviously what you saw wasn't something for you, and that's fine. maybe.... we can start to recognize these things aren't all about "flaunting how much you want pity about your life" or "oppression olympics" or "performative privilege checks" or "SJW/TRA-pilled antics" and, in fact, how people connect with one another concisely in a virtual space.

can i ask you things about piercing(s)?

short answer: yes. i am just not a substitute for seeing a professional piercer who's been doing it for a long time, and especially not a substitute for seeing them in person. i am also not a substitute for a doctor (i don't give "medical advice").long answer: there are tons of resources and things out on the internet that people may not know about that i can guide you towards if you have a really broad question, but also i just know lots of factoids.i can talk piercing all day, and i am always interested in sharing and learning. the best single source of knowledge currently for troubleshooting or getting good info about a piercing (that doesn't involve the history of it) would be safepiercing.org, the international site of the Association of Professional Piercers. you can also use their site to find the closest member to you who can help you.

aren't you the person who--

probably not. i don't know why i get confused for other users lmao but i've never had like a callout post or something. i keep most #controversial thoughts to myself and off of hell sites like tumblr and twitter.

could you please add a content/trigger warning for [x]?

almost always, yes. i do my best to take accessibility concerns seriously.if you ask me to tag something as broadly as #discourse or something, my social media probably isn't going to be great for you, though.

Why didn't you respond to my message?

I didn't see it, or I forgot about it because that's me. Or I deleted it because it was shitty. Usually I respond privately to asks. If it's on anon and seems like you're not trying to engage helpfully, then your shit gets deleted.
